As many of you are well aware, I have this slight obsession going on with anything salted caramel right now…I just can’t seem to get enough of the sweet & salty good stuff! So here are a few other inspirations I found online that I am planning to try…thinking about morphing one recipe a bit…

The one I want to play with a bit is the Bacon Salted Caramel Brownie from Savour Fare— I love the idea of bacon flavoring the brownie with the salt, but not so sure about the bacon pieces. I may just infuse the cream with bacon and just use that to flavor the brownies…then add additional sea salt to kick up and bring out the bacon, salty goodness. I have done something similar with macaroni and cheese when I thought the bacon pieces actually took away from the creamy texture of the mac’n’cheese, but still wanted the smoky, salty, bacon flavor and it worked well.
